First AGM of SLAEAJ was held successfully at Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan.

We proudly announced that our first annual general meeting was held successfully at Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan. New office bearers were appointed accordingly after an official poll was organized by Mr. Somasena at the premises.
AGM was started with the brief welcome speech was made by Mr. Ali the secretary of SLAEAJ. Afterwards Mr. M. Somasena coordinating officer of commercial division of Sri Lanka Embassy has explained official election rules to be followed to elect new office bearers for all attendees
Meanwhile, election results were presented by Mr. Somasena and previously chair holders had not been changed. Mr. Jagath Ramanayake elected as the president of SLAEAJ for the second time, and Mr. Lasantha Nandasiri elected as Vice President, and Mr. Mohamed Ali elected as the Executive Secretary and Mr. Saman Priyankara elected as the Treasurer for the next session as they were before.
Afterwards, Mr. Jagath Ramanayake summarized the accomplishments of past year through a video presentation and Treasurer Mr. Saman Priyankara outlined the financial condition of SLAEAJ during the session 2011-2012. The Annual General Meeting officially approved the financial conditions by a unanimous vote.
After appointing of new office bearers H.E Admiral [Rtd.] Wasantha Karannagoda the ambassador visited the place and made his brief speech whilst congratulating all the office bearers for the dedication they have made in such a short period of time after the establishment of SLAEAJ and furthermore, he was pointed out that the SLAEAJ is a good example of successful Sri Lankan associations in Japan and SLAEAJ has exceeded his expectations in the way it was behaved in the past session.
Then the Executive Committee members of the new session briefly pointed out their working plans for the year 2013 to all the attendees of the Annual General Meeting. Especially they have focused on the amendment of SLAEAJ constitution to increase the membership for other parties like auction companies and Japanese dealers.
Finally, after a brief thanking speech by Executive Secretary Mr. Ali and the speech regarding the vehicle stock of the members by Mr. Bansal the AGM was successfully ended.
