Sri Lanka President to visit Japan next week.

Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksha is to undertake a four-day official visit to Japan next week.
This visit is aimed at further enhancing the existing ties between Japan and Sri Lanka. According to Presidential spokesman the visit is scheduled to take place between 13 and 16 March.
Japan is the major donor country of Sri Lanka which provides assistance to several projects.
Sri Lanka maintains a cordial economic and bilateral relation with Japan and the visit is expected to further the Sri Lanka’s relation with Japan.
The President is expected to meet with Japanese Emperor Akihitho Japanese Prime Minister Shinso Abe and trade and defense officials during the visit.
