3rd SLAEAJ Japan Cup Cricket Festival 2015 at Tochigi Sports Ground.Sri Lanka Automobile Exporters Association completed the SLAEAJ Japan Cup Cricket Festival 2015 as planed on the 20th September 2015 at Green Sports Center ground Tochigi. This was held with the blessing of his Excellency Prof. Dammika Ganganath Dissanayake, the ambassador of Sri Lanka in Japan and the invited guests Mr. Nuwan Kulasekara, Mr. Dulip Samarasekara and Mr. Jayanath Seram from Sri Lanka.

The event was organized with the valuable assistance of Sri Lankan Associations and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan. Cricket festival was started with the opening ceremony conducted by Mr. Harsha Gunasena and he invited to Mr. Nuwan Kulasekara for hosting the national flag. As the next item in the agenda organizing committee members of the SLAEAJ and the well wishers were invited to light up the oil lamp of the ceremony.

After the welcome speech of SLAEAJ president Mr. Jagath Ramanayake and rules of the game explan by Mr. Cecil Perera and tournament was started in the two grounds.

Nakano C.C – Mr. Saliya/Mr. Buddika
Gumma Takasaki C.C – Mr. Sunil
Tochigi C.C – Mr. Prabath
Kashiwa C.C – Mr. Asanga
Utsunomiya C.C – Mr. Sunma
Gumma Youth C.C A – Mr. Nuwan
Gumma Youth C.C B – Mr. Nuwan
Ashikaga Saori C.C – Mr. Thilina
Gumma Suhada Youth – Mr. Niluka
Ibaraki C.C – Mr.Anura
Chiba Gladiators C.C – Mr. Rajitha
Ashikaga Royal C.C – Mr. Ali
Shiroi C.C – Mr. Cecil
Giyotoku MCC C.C – Mr. Amal
Tokyo Lions C.C – Mr. Lucky

Out of sixteen teams Gumma Youth C.C, Ashikaga Royal C.C, Gumma Takasaki C.C, Giyotoku Mcc C.C, Ibaraki C.C, Gumma Suhada Youth C.C, Tochigi C.C, and Gregg Lanka C.C were selected to the quarter finals. Eventually Ashikaga Royal C.C, Gumma Takasaki C.C, Ibaraki C.C, Tochigi C.C were selected to semi finals. And the final game was held between Tochigi C.C and the Gumma Takasaki C.C teams. Tochigi C.C won the challenge trophy of the tournament for the 3rd time.

As the iconic event of the festival exhibition match was played between the SLAEAJ members and the Sri Lanka Business Council of Japan with all the invited guests.

SLAEAJ organizing committee did not forget to thank Mr. Cecil Perera and Mr. Udaya Atukorala for their aspiration and strong mind to promote cricket in Japan

Raffle ticket was drawn to entertain the Sri Lankan spectators who domiciled in Japan at the closing ceremony. This event was sponsored by Mr. Fawzan Faried Sri Lankan Air Line Manager in Japan, and first prize won by Mr. Mihidu Perera as free Sri Lankan Air Line ticket to colombo. And the consolation prizes were distributed as follows.
