Dinner for Sri Lanka Automobile Importers Association (VIASL)

A 50 member Business Delegation from Vehicle Importers’ Association of Sri Lanka returned to Sri Lanka after a very successful tour of Japan from November 1st – November 8th 2015.
The main objective of this tour was to further strengthen the relationship between Vehicle Importers’ Association of Sri Lanka (VIASL) and Sri Lanka Automobile Exporters’ Association in Japan (SLAEAJ) while engaging in the vehicle and related business which is to based on mutual trust and to help and improve the motor vehicle industry between the two countries. Also, during this tour the VIASL delegates had the opportunity to visit Tokyo Motor show, USS Motor Auction House, Motor Assembly Plant of Toyota Motor Company, Toyota Museum and to view the Yokohama Port and sight seen tour of Tokyo city and a visit to Akihabara shopping complex.
The main activity of the business tour was the interactive business conference held on 5th November 2015 at New Otani Inn Hotel Osaki, conference room at 7.00 p.m. organized by SLAEAJ. Delegates from Motor Vehicle Auction Suppliers, Inspection companies and other related service providers from Japan participated along with the business delegates of VIASL.
With the welcome speech of Mr. Jagath Ramanayake President of SLAEAJ initiated the conference. The New Ambassador for Sri Lanka in Japan Prof. Dhammika Ganganath Disanayake graced the conference with his profound speech. The Hon. Counsellor (Commercial) Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan Mr. Premarathne, Chairman of Japan USS Logistic International Tokyo Mr. Akashi Masayuki, the President of VIASL Mr. Yoga Perera addressed the gathering. Finally, Mr. Saman Priyankara Treasurer of SLAEAJ delivered vote of Thanks to the gathering.
Souvenirs were given to the invitees and to the President of SLAEAJ to commemorate the effort and cooperation given to plan out the event. At the end of the conference there was a grand dinner.
