Dinner for Lanka Automobile Importers Association (VIAL)

A 100 member Business Delegation from Vehicle Importers’ Association of Lanka returned to Sri Lanka after a very successful tour of Japan from November 2nd – November 9th 2015.
The main objective of this tour was to further strengthen the relationship between Vehicle Importers’ Association of Lanka and Sri Lanka Automobile Exporters’ Association in Japan (SLAEAJ) while engaging in the used vehicles business which is to be based on mutual trust and to help and improve the motor vehicle industry between the two countries. Also, during this tour all delegates had the opportunity to visit Tokyo Motor show, Toyota Museum at Nagoya and some Business conference with domestic bodies.
The main activity of the business tour was the interactive business conference held on 6th November 2015 at Shin Yokohama Prince Hotel, conference room at 7.00 p.m. organized by SLAEAJ. Delegates from Motor Vehicle Auction Suppliers, Inspection companies and other related service providers from Japan participated along with the business delegates of VIAL.
With the welcome speech of Mr. Jagath Ramanayake President of SLAEAJ initiated the conference. The New Ambassador for Sri Lanka in Japan Prof. Dhammika Ganganath Disanayake graced the conference with his profound speech. The Hon. Counsellor (Commercial) Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan Mr. Premarathne, Inspection Agent from JEVIC inspection company and the President of VIAL Mr. Sampath Merenchige addressed the gathering. Finally, Mr. Saman Priyankara Treasurer of SLAEAJ delivered vote of Thanks to the gathering.
Souvenirs were given to the invitees and to the President of SLAEAJ to commemorate the effort and cooperation given to plan out the event. At the end of the conference there was a grand dinner.
