His Excellency Maithripala Sirisena, President of Sri Lanka visited Japan to attend outreach session of G7 Summit which scheduled in Nagoya from 26th to 27th May 2016. He met Sri Lankans on Friday 27th of May 2016 at Nagoya City to have an informal meeting.
Given the importance of our association in this sector as our responsibility to manage and coordinate issues with Sri Lanka Government as well as local and international organizations the SLAEAJ handed over a proposal to the president Maithripala Sirisena to make a favorable request to the recent tax change in the automobile industry.
Furthermore, SLAEAJ hopes implementing these suggestions, customers in Sri Lanka will be able to purchase high quality vehicles for reasonably cheaper price from the world market. In this case, importing a Japan made used vehicles car would be more appropriate since those are originally made for the use for the domestic market satisfying with Japanese high standards for highest quality
